About Us
International Journal of Ageing and Wellbeing (IJAAWB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing global research on ageing and wellbeing within social, cultural, environmental, and policy contexts.
The journal is an integral component of the Ageing and Wellbeing Initiative, an independent global academic initiative established to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, comparative research, and policy-relevant knowledge addressing population ageing worldwide. The Initiative serves as an intellectual platform connecting scholars, practitioners, and policymakers engaged in ageing-related research across regions.
IJAAWB is editorially and academically governed by an independent IJAAWB Editorial Board, which holds full responsibility for defining the journal’s scope, editorial policies, peer-review standards, and publication decisions. Editorial independence and scholarly integrity constitute core principles of the journal.
For publishing purposes, IJAAWB is jointed published by the International Research Institute of Ageing (Hong Kong) . As the journal’s publishing entity agency, the Institute does not intervene in editorial decision-making, peer-review processes, or academic governance. IJAAWB is part of the Ageing and Wellbeing Initiative, whose journals are supported by the Ageing and Wellbeing Initiative Committee Board, responsible for providing overarching academic guidance across the Initiative’s publications. The Committee Board operates independently from the publishing entity.
All articles published in IJAAWB are freely available online through aawb.ageingandwellbeing.org, ensuring broad global access to research without subscription barriers.
